Vishakha crosses from Libra into Scorpio, from two hundred degrees to two hundred and thirteen degrees twenty minutes. Jupiter lords it and Indra and Agni preside jointly. Its symbol is a triumphal archway, and the name carries the sense of branching or forking.

A Moon in Vishakha begins the dasha sequence in a Jupiter mahadasha and moves next into Saturn's nineteen, putting two of the longer periods back to back at the start of the cycle.
